Recovery Mode
To enter recovery mode on the Venue:
- Power your Venue OFF
- Turn the vibrate mode switch ON (you can see red)
- Hold Volume Down and Volume Up and Power Button at the same time. You can release the power button when the LEDs light up.
My Venue goes into recovery mode if both volume buttons are held while powering on regardless of the position of the vibrate mode switch. Every other guide I have seen for recovery specifies that the vibrate mode switch must be on (red showing) so I have left that step in in the directions above.
The recovery screen looks like this:

Just like the screen says you use the volume keys to move the highlight to what you want and then press the camera button to select that item.
Be Careful! If you accidentally select factory reset even a battery pull will not stop it.
ClockworkMod Recovery
I did a factory reset from the first screen with ClockworkMod installed and it did not remove CWM.
